Asides from being sharp good for cutting through chicken bones, I use them for open jars screwing caps off bottles and many other tasks in the kitchen. It is an essential tool in continuing effort to still being able to cook."

"We've had a few pairs of "kitchen scissors" over the years; they have done fine, but weren't that rugged and don't stay sharp. These shears have stood up to multiple uses; they can butcher a bit of poultry, cut woody herbs, and crack through lobster shells, so they keep you from flubbing around the kitchen drawers for other gadgets. They're worth the $40 odd dollars, and my wife's $100 + quilting scissors are safe."
