Le couteau Hori Hori est un parfait croisement entre un couteau et une truelle. Il est idéal pour diviser les vivaces, désherber, couper les racines, transplanter et enlever les plantes. Ce hori hori forgé à la main en acier carbone est extra-fiable, conservant son tranchant beaucoup plus longtemps que ses homologues produits en masse.
Traditionnellement appelé "Sansai Hori", ce qui se traduit par "creuser des légumes de montagne", il était à l'origine un outil de cueillette polyvalent qui, avec le temps, a trouvé sa place dans les jardins nord-américains grâce à sa polyvalence.
Kondo Hamono est un atelier de forge familial près de Tsubame Sanjo, et ils sont très bons dans ce qu'ils font. Jetez un coup d'œil à la soie de ces couteaux - extrêmement robustes et entièrement forgés. Masashi-san, quelqu'un qui a le souci du détail, a été tellement impressionné par leur travail qu'il nous les a recommandés.
Ils sont fabriqués en acier au carbone, probablement une variété SK, ils garderont donc bien leur tranchant et seront agréables à affûter, mais sont suffisamment résistants pour creuser dans la terre, couper à travers les racines, etc. J'ai hâte d'aller creuser avec un !
