"1. I was hoping for a little higher centerline. 2. I didn’t expect a great finish on the edge but it was easy enough to sort out. 3. The head slipped on the first strike, and I never could get it tight so I rehung the handle. 4. The handle was crooked, tailing off near the palm swell. I was able to correct a lot of this when I sanded flats and narrowed the handle. 5. Rehanging gave me a chance to weigh the head, which is actually 4 pounds 2 ounces. Love the axe now that it’s sorted out. Without knowing the history on it and where it might have been stored, etc., it’s hard to assign blame."

Nice haft with great grain structure, and the head is fitted nicely. Once you bring the edge to your desired finish, it’s incredible. I will definitely order from you guys again. "Hi Luke, the first Arvika I got from you, chipped the blade, the second one I got under warranty was with the longer 36" uvex handle which loosened after felling 3 trees. So I'm not real impressed with it. I got a smaller hults bruks from you which has been great and I believe they are a quality axe maker. I also want you to know that everybody at Kent have been excellent to deal with. Thanks, Phil"

"Very nice axe. The handle could have been hung a little nicer I think, for the money. I haven’t tried it out yet so 4/5 stars is appropriate I think. The fit isn’t 100% but it will work just fine. Very high quality steel with a bit of run out in the grain of the handle. Grain orientation is perfect."
