A note about measurements: Handmade Japanese knives can vary in their dimensions, so these measurements are only an example.
Are you tired of boring old spoons? Meet Umeshiso! Originally designed for coffee tasting, these spoons are handy for any task around the kitchen from cooking and tasting to serving and eating!
The Big Dipper (7.5") is your typical soup & tasting spoon, perfect for anything that requires a larger bowl and lots of slurping.
The Little Dipper (6.4") is a smaller, more manageable version of the Big Dipper, great for folks who don't love massive tasting spoons.
The Mini Dipper (4.25") is the size of a standard teaspoon. Use it for adding sugar to coffee, sprinkling spices, or dessert!
About Umeshiso - Self-described 'nonbinary, mixed race, disabled, and proud gaysian' Umeko Motoyoshi often felt out of place in their 14 years in the specialty coffee industry. They started to bring their rainbow tasting spoon to coffee cuppings (tastings), so they would always feel like they belonged, and it soon became apparent that other folks felt that way too! The Umeshiso product line has since grown, and a portion of proceeds are regularly donated to inclusive and diverse organizations, including their own nonprofit, Get Psyched, which provides psychiatric care for coffee workers.
