One of our favourite styles of knife is the honesuki or Japanese poultry knife. If you enjoy prepping yakitori, or just want to learn how to break down a chicken to make chicken and waffles, a honesuki, combined with the knowledge of how to use it, is a great addition to your arsenal.
For $150, 2 chickens from a local, sustainable butcher to learn on and a $75 dollar credit to you in store towards your very own honesuki. One of our ex-chef managers will teach you how to break down the birds in preparation for 2 recipes: Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Yakitori, which you will then finish preparing at home.
This is a very small class, with a lot of one-on-one learning so space is extremely limited.
Already have a Honesuki? You can use the credit from the included knife towards anything else in the store.
