A note about measurements: Handmade Japanese knives can vary in their dimensions, so these measurements are only an example.
The Hori Hori Knife cross between a knife and a trowel and is great for dividing perennials or with centimetre markings on the blade it is ideal for planting at the correct depth. It is also great for weeding, cutting roots, transplanting, and removing plants.
Traditionally called a "Sansai Hori" which translates to "Mountain Vegetable Digging", it has some of its origins as a general-purpose foraging tool, that over time has found its way into the garden in North America due to its versatility, with a serrated edge on one side and a sharpened edge on the other it is a great addition to many gardener's tool collections.
It also comes with a leather sheath with a belt look for those looking to always be prepared for hori needs.
