Sharpening for a Cause: Help us Give to Local Food Banks!
At Knifewear, we sharpen thousands of kitchen knives throughout the year and give 50% of the proceeds to local charities. With so many Canadians in need this year, we’ve decided the status quo isn’t enough. We’ve stepped up our giving to 100% of the proceeds from knives sharpened between October 26 and November 1 2020. This time it’s all going to local food banks.
To participate in this unprecedented charity drive, simply bring your kitchen knives down to your local Knifewear in Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa or Vancouver, and we'll take care of the rest. If you don’t have a local Knifewear store, you can use this as an opportunity to take advantage of our mail-in knife sharpening service. Help make this season better for folks in need, and get your knives sharpened before the holidays hit.
Another way to help is to tell your friends and family, and share this on social media. There’s no limit to how much we can raise, so get them to bring their knives to us and support an important cause.
Food banks not only provide immediate help to people in need, but they also work to address the root of the problem: families struggling to meet their own basic needs during times of stress. They work with and support other local charities to help lift our neighbours out of poverty, and raise awareness about issues in our own backyards. We’re extremely proud to be working with them on this initiative.
You can organize curbside sharpening drop-off here, or just swing by any day from 10-6!
