The Winners of the Knifewear Photo Contest!
Last Monday saw the deadline for our first-ever Knifewear photo contest, with the chance to win one of three Haruyuki Zanpa knives! We received a whopping 326 entries, and after a whole week to evaluate them, we're excited to announce the three winners.
Thank you so much to everybody who entered, for your photos, stories, and love of good knives!
Action Shot: Neha K.
The winner of the Haruyuki Zanpa 240mm Gyuto is Neha, who took this stunning fruit-ninja-inspired action shot of a Takeshi Saji Rainbow Damascus.
Knife Portrait: Ignatius C.
When we saw Ignatius' photo of a Haruyuki Shiso gyuto with a rainbow cake, we were big fans from the start. You'd be hard-pressed to capture more fun and joy in a photo of a knife! This colourful entry wins a Haruyuki Zanpa Nakiri.
Crowd Favourite: Kim N.
The crowd favourite was judged by who got the most likes on Instagram with the hashtag #knifewearshots and Kim came through! This Masakage Mizu Gyuto hard at work really shows a Japanese blade where it shines best: in the kitchen. Kim's prize is a haruyuki Zanpa 135mm petty!
Because we had so many great entries, we decided to pick some runners-up as well, the folks behind these photos will receive a stack of Knifewear stickers in the mail!
