Black Balloon Day: Remembering Those Lost to Drug Overdose
Black Balloon Day reminds us to acknowledge and celebrate those we have lost to drug poisoning, and to raise awareness for harm reduction.
It is easy to show your support, gather awareness, and help reduce stigma to reduce preventable trauma in our communities. Folks can help by displaying a black balloon and spreading awareness on social media using the hashtag #endoverdose.
We also encourage folks who want to help to pick up a free naloxone kit at their local pharmacy, and learn how to use it. If you see someone in trouble near your local Knifewear shop, all of our stores will be equipped with naloxone kits and staff who can administer them.
