Naniwa Truing Stone #220 Grit 170x55x30mm

Pssst... we only have 1 left in stock.

This is the stone that everyone must have eventually. The truing stone keeps sharpening stones flat. Once your stones dished up like a skateboard you can't sharpen any more. It is much easier to keep your stones flat than making them flat. We use a truing stone every few knives.

Keeping your stones flat is an important part of sharpening. A truing stone is the best tool for the job. Every 4-6 knives you should consider truing the surface. This will keep the sharpening surface flat, and ensures an even sharpening.

How to use:

  • Use water to wet stone and remove excess grit.
  • Start with the slotted side truing back and forth until stone is flat.
  • Finish with the smooth.
