Learn the specific techniques for sharpening single bevel knives! Sharpening traditional Japanese knives is a skill in itself and classes to learn these skills are rare. Join our sharpening experts in Vancouver for an afternoon of intensive learning, and have fun doing it.
Participants taking this class should already have a basic knowledge of sharpening, how to use sharpening stones, and how to form a burr. It is recommended that any participants in this class have already taken our standard Sharpening Class before tackling single bevel sharpening.
Knifewear will loan participants the following for using during the class, but experienced sharpeners that have these items are welcome and encouraged to bring their own:
- Knifewear 1,000 grit sharpening stone
- Knifewear 220 grit sharpening stone
- Knifewear 220 truing stone
- Atoma Diamond 140 grit plate
- A Deba
The class are 2 Hours at our Vancouver store.
