Former apprentice of the late great Masami Azai-san, Nao Yamamoto has grown into an exceptional knife maker. At age 39, he was certified as a traditional craftsperson (Dento Kogeishi), a mark of his skill and talent. So talented, in fact, he's the only person who's been granted the right to use the blacksmithing name Echizen Marukatsu, the title of his former master. Through his years of dedicated practice, he has become one of the most skilled knife makers in Takefu Knife Village.
