Ginsan Stainless Steel

Ginsan (Silver #3) was created to make knives that would sharpen and cut like carbon steel but with none of the maintenance. The composition is very pure compared to other steels, containing mostly just iron, carbon, and chromium. This purity is what allows it to sharpen easily and take a crisp edge like carbon steels. All that chromium means Ginsan is unlikely to rust!

Steel Composition -  Carbon (C) 0.95–1.1%, Silicon (Si) <= 0.35%, Manganese (Mn) 0.6–1%, Chromium (Cr) 13–14.5%
