About the Maker - Akio Tasai and Michio Tasai are father and son blacksmiths in Sanjo, Niigata, who specialized mainly in chisels and plane blades, which requires a bit more precision when forging. Tasai-san are considered to be one of the best plane, chisel-smiths in Japan.
