The Japanese are known for making extremely sharp things, and the Feather Double Edge blade is no exception. Feather blades have earned themselves a devoted following for how smooth of a shave they give. If you're starting with a safety razor, I wouldn't use feathers as your training wheels. Buy a slightly less aggressive blade first, then work your way up to these babies. Feathers are compatible with all modern safety razors.
About Feather - Established officially in 1953, Feather Safety Razor Co. has been a long-time manufacturer of disposable shaving blades and surgical blades. Feather focuses purely on Japanese production to ensure its products' outstanding quality, refusing to source from other countries. Now Feather is known to make the sharpest DE razor blade on the planet and some of the finest shaving tools held by humankind.

"Feather blades set the standard for razor blades. They're on the expensive side, but well worth it"
"The razors were reasonably priced and are probably fine, but the packaging exploded lint (?) particulates all over my kitchen when I opened it, which was a disgusting and disorienting experience. I should not have to worry about accidentally inhaling harmful airborne materials nor spend several minutes cleaning up something worse than a glitter bomb because I opened a package "wrong. " Based on this and the exorbitant shipping fees, I will not be ordering from this store in the future."
"Supposedly the sharpest DE razor blades one can get and I can't disagree. I bought this for my travel kit as the pack is able to store the used blades safely in the back, as compared to most conventional card packaging of other blades."
"Great razors, great price, great staff."
"I have not tried the Kent of Inglewood Mild Razor Blades yet, but thus far the Feather blades are the best I have found. They glide over my skin effortlessly and have never caused a nick. I love and highly recommend them."
"GOAT"
"I've moved to feather blades after using the Rockwell razors for years. I have reactive skin and very coarse facial hair and as such I'm really picky about what I use. I'm getting an extremely smooth, irritation free shave using these with my Henson razor. Highly recommended."
"I LOVE my Feather razor blades, especially when paired with a precision DE razor like the Rex Ambassador. I also love it with my Merkur Futur DE razor BUT I would caution great care on aggressive settings with either really but more so with the Futur. With the Rex razor and a 3 setting it's perfect for every 2-3 day shaves and an epic glide and handling. They do tend to dull a little quick than an Astra or Nacel even but that's the price you pay for that level of sharpness."
"These are the best razors I have ever used."
"A good close shave, stays sharp for a good length of time."
