Dedicated to Sharp Knives Since 2007
Knifewear quietly opened in July 2007 in Kevin's backpack on the back of a bike in Calgary, before opening a retail store the following year, and has since added stores in Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto and Edmonton. Our knife stores have become a destination/hang-out for those who love Japanese steel and are addicted to sharp.
We carry knives not found in any other shop in Canada. We like exclusive, scary sharp, high performance blades, and travel all over Japan to find them.
We also aim to have awesome selection of chef quality tools for your kitchen, whether you are a professional working the line, or someone at home looking for tools to kick it up a notch.

We clean up after ourselves.
Ecommerce deliveries have a carbon footprint. That's why we support verified projects that remove carbon from the air.
Every delivery’s carbon footprint is calculated based on weight, shipping method, and distance traveled. We neutralize these emissions by purchasing verified carbon removal credits from groundbreaking projects. When you add a contribution to your order, 100% of that money is used to pay for additional carbon removal.
With your purchase, you’ll join a community of proactive merchants and customers dedicated to a sustainable future. Together, we've removed emissions for over 75 million deliveries and removed over 53 thousand tonnes of carbon.
We work with a network of pioneering carbon removal companies that have been vetted by the commerce platform Shopify.
