Knifewear X Parkdale Food Centre Fundraiser

Knifewear X Parkdale Food Centre Fundraiser

Ottawa Knifewear is excited to partner again with the Parkdale Food Centre on Friday March 27th!

We will be teaching our Cut Like a Chef class, where you can learn all sorts of knife skills, techniques, maintenance, and gain confidence in the kitchen. Participants will get the chance to try out a variety of Japanese knives to prepare two meals: a tasty lunch we share together as we discuss food security in our communities, and soup prep to stock up the freezer for PFC. This is a great opportunity to learn some new skills and do some good for your neighbours! Tickets are $100, with all the proceeds going to the Parkdale Food Centre to support the excellent work they do.

After the class, participants can enjoy 10% off select knives, mandolins, microplanes, and other kitchen tools. Everyone will go home with free sharpening coupons, recipe sheets, and of course, it wouldn’t be a Knifewear event without plenty of stickers!

So grab a few pals and follow this link to sign yourselves up!

Colleen

Colleen spent 12 years cooking professionally, but has loved being in the kitchen since she was 4 (which is when she learned how to make the stellar pancakes she still whips up today). Colleen takes great pride in using all the odd scraps in the fridge to make something beautiful and damn tasty. Colleen spends most of her free time walking her cool rescue dog Wilma, devouring pastries, and counting down the days until she can skate on the canal.
