The name Quirelois is pronounced "Ki-re-lu-wa", and in Japanese it means "OMG it is shaaarrp". This mandoline is super versatile, wicked sharp and comes in 3 colours to keep your kit nice and custom.
Chiba Quirelois has a maximum width of 67mm, and the adjustable blade can be set to a maximum depth of 3mm. The two serrated blades come in 1mm and 2.5mm spacing. The blade can even be removed for sharpening!

"I picked up the Mandoline Slicer from a Knifeware popup in the west side of Calgary. I am still experimenting with the Slicer, as the adjustments are infinite. The blades are very sharp-VERY SHARP, so i would suggest using the included vegetable holder or you may find some skin in your salad. I would like to see a container the was made specific to the Mandolin Slicer so the Slicer was more secure while using it. The Slicer is very easy to clean."

"This is a well made mandolin however it is only for larger veggies. I bought it for slicing garlic but it turns out the gap is too big when using just the slicer. So, it’s not going to be as useful for me as I had hoped but that is my fault for not checking."
