Knifewear Calgary is Moving, October 2026
It's time. We've been in the same spot in Inglewood, Calgary, for 18 glorious years. The space has served us well, but we outgrew it years ago, and it's time to move.
Knifewear Calgary will move one block East into a new space at 1406 9th ave SE; the new Knifewear megastore will be 300% bigger and opens October 31! The store will feature more of the handcrafted Japanese kitchen knives, chef-curated cookware, and sharpening supplies you know and love, PLUS a hugely upgraded knife-sharpening workshop and a MASSIVE classroom capable of hosting classes of up to 25 folks and 40-person private events.
- Knifewear Calgary is open every day at 1316 9ave SE until October 26. Now's the time to get your knives sharpened and do your shopping!
- We will be closed October 26-30. Online orders will continue to ship as usual next week.
- Knifewear at the Calgary Farmers' Market South is open every Thursday-Sunday, and will be open October 29 & 30. They offer sharpening services and have a solid selection of knives and cookware.
- The new mega-store opens Saturday, October 31, the first day of the Fall Garage Sale.
