These one of a kind handles are made by a talented artisan who uses a wide variety of rare woods, resin, and other unique materials. We love these psychedelic knife handles so much that we put them on some of our favourite knives for the Garage Sale.

About the Shape - Inspired by the profile of a traditional European chef knife and the badass tip of a Kiritsuke (Traditionally a single bevel knife), double bevel Kiritsukes are a multi-purpose knife with a slight meat cutting bias. If you want one knife to do it all, and look cooler than your buddy, this is your knife. For the at-home or professional cook, we recommend a Kiritsuke which measures between 210mm and 240mm long.

About Haruyuki Kokuto - Named for Shochu made from brown sugar, the Kokuto gives you the elegance and style of a traditional Japanese knife with none of the maintenance. Ginsan Stainless Steel functions like high-carbon steel so it sharpens easily, and take a 'crisp' edge like high-carbon steels. The handle is made from Yew wood, which has great durability with a gorgeous finish. These blades are a great way to start if you're looking for your first Japanese knife!
