Free Knife Sharpening for Chefs at Knifewear!

Working as a chef or cook has never been an easy life. Long hours, low wages, and constant physical strain. Those who stick with this trade do so because they have a passion for it, a love of cooking for the masses. Because of the constant restaurant shutdowns over the last year, that passion has been tested more than ever.

As a band of ex-chefs and cooks, we feel for you. You’ve always had our back; now we have yours. Until your dining rooms reopen, all cooks and chefs get free sharpening at all Knifewear shops. 

Those of you not in the industry might be wondering how you too can help. Well, we’re glad you asked. Shout this from the rooftops! Let every professional in your life know that we’re offering free sharpening for them. Let everyone else know that your friends in this industry are under immense pressure and need your support. Order food from small, local restaurants, directly and not through online services if that’s an option. (These services are hugely convenient for us, but they take a significant portion of the restaurant’s profits) Pick it up in person, and give them a tip. If everyone takes a few small actions like this, it will allow them to survive this shutdown so they can get back up on their feet. 

This industry is currently beleaguered and we risk losing our favourite restaurants. It’s time to step up and support them.
