Kevin Kent : Big In Japan

Our fearless leader is doing what scares him most, flying. He's off to Japan to visit with our blacksmiths again, brings gifts of Canadian sea salt from Vancouver Island and Dulse from Nova Scotia.
Kevin is Big in Japan and likes to buy lots of knives when he's there. His excess is what started the Garage Sale tradition, to get great knives at great prices into the hands of Chefs. Stay tuned for that announcement. When he's in Japan it's worth checking out the instagram feed and his @knifenerd twitter account, usually some gems, especially from the shochu inspired evenings. He's going to be in Niigata, Fukui and Sakai, home to some of our favourites, I heard rumour of a Masashi Damascus blade and I am excited to see what comes home.
